Join me to explore DIY screen printing using embroidery hoops, picture frames and easy to find materials from around the home. In this class you will be introduced to the basic principles of at home screen printing including choosing or creating a simple design and making masks and stencils.
This is a DIY screen printing class, aimed at making the process easy to do at home. We will be using acrylic paints which dry quickly and discussing mediums that can be added for use on fabric too. You will leave with a print of your own making, ideas for how to make more including repeat patterns and information on how to learn more about screen printing if you want to take things further.
No art experience or skills needed. All materials are provided, as are step by step instructions plus tips and ideas. Suitable for all skill levels and people aged 16+ (12+ if accompanied by an adult). Concession prices available for those on a low income. Please contact me to find out more.
This class takes place from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday 4th October at Union Street Gallery and Art Hub, Union Street, Grantham NG31 6NZ and is part of my Kitchen Table Creatives workshops featuring a wide range of guided sessions on using low cost, everyday items and easy to find materials to make paper-based art at home.
