An introduction to woven strip patchwork which is suitable for both hand and machine sewing, although this workshop focuses on hand sewing. Includes instruction on suitable stabilisers (with and without adhesive backing) and ideas for uses. No sewing experience necessary (if you can poke a needle into the fabric and pull it out again you can do this!).
All materials are provided, as are step by step instruction plus tips and ideas. Suitable for all skill levels and people aged 18+ (or 14+ if accompanied by an adult).
Booking is essential as the workshops requires a minimum of 2 people to go ahead and are limited to 8. Any questions please use the contact form to ask and feel free to bring your own fabrics for even more personal creations.
This class takes place from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Friday 11th April at Union Street Gallery and Art Hub, Union Street, Grantham NG31 6NZ and is part of the PollyWhistle Textile Treats programme of workshops featuring a wide range of fabric-based projects and tutorials.
